The story of the Scoria Winery begins in 2008 with the production of wine in small quantities for personal consumption. Today, we produce approximately 18,000 bottles a year of red, white, and rosé wines from the winery's vineyards.
Ofer Turgeman, a winemaker, teacher, gardener, and tour guide, a farmer at heart, completed his studies in winemaking in 2008 at Tel-Hai College and is a graduate of Beit Berl College in the field of agriculture. Ofer began making wine for family and friends from the vineyards he planted, and he is one of the founders of the community of Kanaf in the Golan Heights, where he lives and where the winery is located.
The first vineyard was planted in 2007, and over the years, the scope of the vineyards expanded, and wine production increased. We are constantly learning and using consultation to understand the region and create the best wine—a wine that tells the story of Scoria.
